The Spanish Peaks Fire Department is currently issuing burn permits for one day intervals, dependent upon the weather. To activate your burn permit, please call the Spanish Peaks Fire Department at 941-4107. This phone is always answered.
You must have a signed burn permit on file to begin a controlled burn. If you do not have one, please call the station to make arrangements to come into the station to fill one out.

- The Spanish Peaks/Bon Carbo Fire Protection District is an all volunteer fire protection district, with two separate fire departments, the Spanish Peaks Volunteer Fire Department, and the Bon Carbo Volunteer Fire Department. We serve the communities of Aguilar, Bon Carbo, Gulnare and the surrounding areas.
